Security Tender Writing

Sectors / Security

Security tenders need to show how risks will be understood and controlled at the buyer’s sites. We help guarding and technical security providers turn their operating procedures into specific, credible responses on people, supervision, incident handling and service assurance.

Our work covers the written bid for manned guarding, reception security, CCTV and related physical or technical security services. We work with your operational leads so that the response reflects the environment, hours of cover and risk profile described in the tender.

How we support your bid

  • Site-specific delivery: Explain mobilisation, surveys, assignment instructions, handover and the review of site risks.
  • Staffing and supervision: Describe recruitment, role-appropriate checks, training, relief cover, supervision and escalation.
  • Incident response: Show how incidents are recorded, assessed, communicated and reviewed, including the interfaces with the buyer’s team.
  • Technical service assurance: Present installation or maintenance arrangements, system handover, fault handling and evidence of performance for the services in scope.

Relevant frameworks and buyers

The Government Commercial Agency’s Facilities Management and Security Services framework (RM6378) includes a dedicated security lot. The published scope includes guarding, security systems, security operations, advisory services and risk assessment. It is also relevant to distinguish standalone security requirements from security bundled into a wider FM contract.

We help eligible suppliers develop call-off responses and prepare framework applications when an appropriate competition is advertised. We check the service and geographical scope before using a framework reference in a bid, rather than assuming that every security supplier can access every opportunity.

Building a credible submission

The most useful evidence shows how controls work in practice: anonymised incident reports, audit findings, training matrices, cover arrangements and comparable site case studies. Your team verifies any licensing, accreditation and technical claims before the submission is approved.

A practical question

Can we use the same security method statement for every site?

A consistent operating standard is useful, but the tender answer should explain how it will be applied to this buyer. We tailor the narrative to the site risks, visitor profile, operating hours and reporting requirements set out in the documents.
